I've been seeing alot of these dip dye vases floating around on Pinterest and Instagram and I decided to give it a try. Pottery Barn and other pricey retail stores sell these, but I certainly couldn't justify spending that much on a vase... So i figured I could DIY it and it ended up being super simple and took 30 minutes!

These are the supplies I used: the glass jar is from Home Goods, scored it for just $7.99! White spray paint (or whatever color you want), painters tape, and a plastic bag. Also if you plan on putting faux stems in your vase, you need those too! I already had the painters tape and some faux stems so I only spent $16 on the whole project!
As seen in the video, fill the vase up with water to your preference. Use the water line as a reference to keep the tape straight. make sure you cover EVERYTHING that you don't want painted! I used the plastic bag to cover the top of the vase and tape to secure it down.

This is how it should look once you're all done taping!
Take the vase outside and spray all the glass that is still showing. Let the paint dry COMPLETELY before removing tape. And it's finished! Add some real or faux stems to finish it off and you have the perfect accent piece for your console table, dining table, kitchen counter, or really anywhere!
